Milestones:
November of 2001 - AES was founded in the beautiful village of São Pedro de Moel – Marinha Grande by Rui Marques.
May of 2002 – Re-located to a larger facility to accommodate the growth into our first office.
March of 2003 – Increased our Engineering team.
October of 2004 - We added a new office to allow expansion for our Engineering group
April of 2005 – Started our own Metrology Laboratory
Projected for November 2005 – Addition of our 3rd office to separate the Metrology laboratory into its own area.
Our Presidents Background:
Rui Marques (the president of AES) has a Mechanical Engineering background with more than Twenty years of experience in the Tooling and Plastics Industry.
For Eleven years, Rui worked in the USA for a major Custom Injection Molder (at the time over 300 injection machines in 13 plants distributed in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Wales).
During this time he held positions from Mold Design Engineer, Engineering Manager, Toolroom and Engineering Manager to Global Director of Tooling and Engineering for the corporation.
Since our foundation in November of 2001, we have been true to our mission of providing our customers with Injection molds that meet and exceed their production and quality requirements at the best price, "Great Value in Engineering and Mold Fabrication".
Our core values are to continually invest in the latest technologies for engineering and manufacturing, train our team to the latest technologies and optimize our internal processes. We continually search for EXCELLENCE.
These core values combined with our extensive experience, know-how in mold design, mold build, injection processing, injection production and PASSION for this industry, makes AES a world reference in the fabrication of molds for the plastics industry.
We are very proud to say that most of the customers that have worked with us since the beginning of AES are still our customers to this very day.
